Lady Gaga, Dave Matthews Band to play at Xcel Energy Center
In the coming weeks, St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center is not only home to the Minnesota Wild, but also the Fame Monster, a.k.a. Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga tickets are available for not one, but two days this August at the Xcel Energy Center. On both Aug. 30 and 31, Lady Gaga brings her Fame Monster Tour to St. Paul in continued support of her 2009 album The Fame Monster. Gaga described the massive tour, which is running from 2009-11, as “the first-ever ‘pop electro opera,” split into five segments with various costume changes, lighting effects and tons of theatrics.
At various points in The Fame Monster Tour, special guests Kid Cudi, Jason DeRulo, Alphabeat and Far East Movement have joined the tour. Semi Precious Weapons is currently the special guest through Nov. 27.
If you’re looking for something a little lower-key, then head to the Xcel Energy Center on Sept. 15 for the Dave Matthews Band.
The DMB is currently touring through mid-September in support of 2009’s Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King, which received two nominations at this years Grammy Awards for ‘Best Rock Album’ and ‘Album of the Year.’
